Features / Inbox rules
An inbox that sorts itself.
Rules that file, forward, answer and assign mail as it arrives, plus one-click unsubscribe and blocking.
Why it matters
The same kinds of email arrive every day: a client’s orders, supplier invoices, newsletters, notifications. Sorting them by hand wastes the first hour of the morning.
Tell Qasid once what to do with them, and it does it as mail arrives, on the server, even when nobody is signed in.
How it works
- Pick an email. Choose “Filter messages like this”, or start a new rule in Settings.
- Say what to match. From, To or Subject: contains, is, or doesn’t contain. Match all conditions or any.
- Say what to do. Move to a folder, star, mark as read, forward, reply with a template, assign to a teammate, or move to Trash.
What you get
- Runs on the server. New mail is sorted within a minute, whether or not you’re signed in.
- Run on existing mail. Apply a new rule to what’s already in your Inbox with one click.
- Forward automatically. Send matching mail on to another address, like supplier invoices to your accountant, with the original email attached.
- Automatic replies. Answer matching mail with one of your saved templates: once per sender per day, and never to mailing lists or other automatic mail.
- Assign to a teammate. In a shared inbox, a rule can give matching mail straight to the right person.
- Safe matching. “From is” checks the real address, so a fake name can’t trick your rules.
- Unsubscribe in one click. For newsletters that offer it, Qasid sends the unsubscribe for you.
- Block senders or domains. Their mail goes straight to Spam, and you can unblock any time.
- Smart tabs. Receipts, marketing and social network mail get their own tabs automatically.
Questions
Do rules work with follow-ups?
Yes. Replies that a rule moves into a folder still count, so your follow-ups stop correctly.
Can I see what a rule did?
Each rule shows how many emails it has handled.
